Voluntary Sector Introduction

Is your organisation facing difficulties due to staff and volunteer issues, for example:

staff off sick, over reliance on sessional staff ?

staff under performing, not focussed, de-motivated, distracted ?
staff not skilled enough, not up to date, promoted beyond competence ?
conflict and blocked communication channels ?
client issues and complaints, bad practice and ethical dilemmas ?
supervision and line management conflicts ?
volunteer management, training and level of skill ?

Having a more effective, resilient, stable workforce leads to enhanced individual and organisational performance and the organisation meeting their service commitments. I have eight years of experience working with people, teams, organisations and communities in voluntary and public sector organisations to create more effective ways of working, communicating and resolving conflict.

I do this by focussing on:

- the quality of people's communication and their relationships with each other
- morale, motivation and team cohesiveness
- levels of confidence in job performance and the organisation, which impacts creativity and productivity
- self-management of reactions, emotions, behaviour
- exploration and integration of values and vision
- meeting of best practice standards and guidelines and changing Government mandates
- ability to meet service commitment and delivery and client needs

I offer training, teambuilding, coaching, counselling, mentoring, and supervision individually or as a package.

Training that includes coaching enables the individual to integrate more effectively the new skills, best practice and insights gained in training into their way of working. Counselling is useful where a deeper level of work is needed around unresolved issues that are affecting job performance. Mentoring teaches new skills on a 1-to-1 basis and supervision helps to keep individuals and organisations on track and delivering best practice.
